Role Description The Account Officer / Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site position and we are recruiting nationwide. This role focuses on managing and growing a portfolio of retail and corporate customers by building strong, long-term relationships and delivering tailored financial solutions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, cross-selling bank products, managing customer accounts, and supporting clients with transactions, inquiries, and issue resolution.
The role also entails conducting credit assessments, preparing proposals, monitoring account performance, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The Account Officer / Relationship Manager collaborates closely with internal teams to achieve revenue targets, improve customer satisfaction, and support the overall growth strategy of the bank.
Qualifications
• Strong customer relationship management and client service skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term partnerships.
• Proficiency in sales, business development, and cross-selling financial products to retail and corporate clients.
• Knowledge of banking operations, credit analysis, and risk assessment within commercial and consumer banking.
• Solid analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills for evaluating customer needs and account performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including clear presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Previous experience in relationship management, account management, or retail/corporate banking is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with Nigerian banking regulations, digital banking tools, and core banking applications is preferred.
