Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Maintain Financial Records – Record and organize all financial transactions accurately to ensure up-to-date accounting records.
•
Prepare Financial Statements – Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
•
Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable – Process supplier payments, monitor customer payments, and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
•
Conduct Internal Audits – Review financial transactions and hotel operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and detect errors or fraud.
•
Budgeting and Financial Planning – Assist in preparing budgets, monitor departmental spending, and analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance.
•
Payroll Administration – Calculate employee salaries, deductions, and taxes, and ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
•
Tax Compliance and Reporting – Prepare and file tax returns, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and maintain records required for statutory reporting.
• Cash and Revenue Control – Reconcile daily cash receipts, bank deposits, and revenue from hotel departments (such as rooms, restaurant, and events) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Requirements:
• B.Sc Accounting from a reputable university.
• ICAN/ANAN/ACCA certification
• 4-6 years of proven hospitality industry experience is compulsory
• Strong management and financial accounting skills
• Inventory management knowledge and the ability to use hotel accounting software are compulsory
• Certification in hospitality management and accounting will be an added advantage
• The successful candidate must be available to resume immediately
Remuneration: NGN 350k-400k, depending on the number of years of experience and technical skills
