Our client, a rapidly expanding financial services institution, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Finance and Accounting to lead their financial operations in Akure, Ondo, NG . This executive role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, accounting, reporting, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's growth objectives. Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international accounting standards and regulations. Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Oversee financial risk management and internal controls. Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency. Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders. Drive process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Provide strategic financial advice and support to the executive leadership team in Akure, Ondo, NG . Requirements Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) or a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or director role. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and Nigerian financial regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Experience with financial management software and ERP systems.
