ABOUT RECHAJ

Rechaj is building Africa's largest battery swapping and energy infrastructure network for electric mobility. Through our Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, we enable commercial tricycle operators to access affordable clean energy while powering an integrated ecosystem of battery assets, financial services, fleet intelligence, and operational technology.
As our business scales across multiple markets and thousands of battery assets, finance plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, operational insight, and investor confidence. We are looking for exceptional finance professionals who can build scalable financial processes while partnering closely with technology and operations teams.

OVERVIEW The Senior Accountant, Revenue & General Ledger is responsible for owning the integrity of Rechaj's revenue accounting and general ledger, ensuring all revenue transactions are accurately recognized, recorded, reconciled, and reported in accordance with IFRS and company accounting policies. The role is the primary owner of the monthly financial close process, preparing a complete and fully supported trial balance before submission to the Financial Controller for review.

Beyond core accounting responsibilities, this role serves as Finance's representative on Rechaj's Accounting CRM/ERP implementation, partnering with the Technology team to ensure accounting logic, financial controls, reporting structures, and audit requirements are designed into the platform from the outset. The successful candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to translate finance requirements into scalable system functionality.
