POSITION: MARKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

REMUNERATION: ₦1,000,000 UPWARDS

LOCATION: VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FULL-TIME

CORE VALUE PROPOSITION

We are looking for a seasoned market professional with deep roots in Nigeria's oil service industry and strong connections with key decision-makers at NEPL and local independent oil companies.

As a core member of our Nigeria market development team, you will build our client relationship network from the ground up and drive at least 2-3 substantial bids or framework agreement signings within the first 12 months.

If you have independently developed over $2 million USD in new business annually for the past 5 years, this role offers you ample room to excel and a competitive rewards package.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (In Order Of Priority)

1. MARKET DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT RELATIONSHIP BUILDING:* Leverage existing networks to establish senior-level business contacts with NEPL, local oil companies (such as Seplat, Aiteo, etc.), and international oil companies (such as Shell, TotalEnergies' Nigeria branches) within 6 months, and develop an annual client visit plan.

2. BIDDING & COMMERCIAL NEGOTIATION.

3. MARKET INTELLIGENCE GATHERING.

4. CLIENT RECEPTION & BUSINESS SUPPORT.

REQUIREMENTS

MANDATORY (Non-Negotiable)

· Work Experience: 8+ years of market development or commercial management experience in Nigeria's oil service industry, with at least 3 years in a market/commercial role at major oil service companies (such as Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Weatherford) or Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NEPL) and its upstream/downstream subsidiaries.

· Local Network: Able to provide 3 or more verifiable referral contacts (decision-makers or procurement heads) from NEPL or local independent oil companies (names, titles, and most recent collaboration context must be provided during interviews for cross-verification).

· Performance Track Record: Has independently led and won oil service project bids in the past 5 years, with individual project values no less than $2 million USD (must provide project list and references during interviews).

Language & Education: Fluent English (business negotiation level), Bachelor's Degree or above.

Preferably in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.

Soft Skills: Strong business acumen, cross-cultural communication skills, and ability to handle frequent business entertainment.
• Business travel within Nigeria as required, such as Port Harcourt, Benin City, Abuja, etc.

STRONG PLUSES

· Familiar with Nigeria's local tendering regulations (such as the NOGICD Act) and Local Content policy requirements.

· Experience in signing service framework agreements directly with NEPL.

· Connections with key Nigeria oil and gas regulatory agencies (such as NMDPRA, NCDMB).

· Basic conversational ability in Local Languages.

Pay: From ₦1,300,000.00 per month
