Job Brief

• Our client is seeking a highly skilled Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple business entities.
• This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable and payable, coordinating payroll, performing bank reconciliations, supporting project-based accounting, and ensuring efficient financial processes.
• The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in using QuickBooks Online Advanced.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
• Coordinate nightly invoicing and ensure timely invoice generation.
• Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
• Coordinate weekly payroll using QuickBooks Payroll and QuickBooks Time.
• Support construction job costing and project-based accounting activities.
• Manage financial records across multiple DBAs under one entity.
• Process vendor invoices and coordinate timely payments.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments and collections.
• Reconcile company credit card transactions and expenses.
• Coordinate customer financing documentation and processes.
• Monitor daily cash positions and identify financial variances.
• Develop and maintain accounting process documentation.
• Manage payment relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure accurate financial records and support monthly financial close activities.
Key Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online is mandatory.
• Previous Big 4 accounting firm experience is highly required.
• Strong experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience coordinating payroll using QuickBooks Payroll and QuickBooks Time.
• Knowledge of construction job costing or project-based accounting is an added advantage.
• Experience managing finances across multiple business entities (DBAs).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
