Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform & DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, security, scalability, and operational reliability of a large-scale enterprise SaaS platform.
This role is not limited to CI/CD ownership. The successful candidate will be responsible for cloud infrastructure architecture, Kubernetes operations, platform security, observability, reliability engineering, disaster recovery, compliance controls, deployment governance, and production operations across multiple environments.
We are looking for someone who can think beyond deployments and actively contribute to building a world-class platform capable of supporting rapid growth, complex enterprise workloads, and high-availability requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesCloud & Infrastructure Engineering
• Design, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure
• Architect secure multi-environment deployments (Development, Staging, Production)
• Manage networking, load balancing, DNS, certificates, and platform connectivity
• Implement infrastructure automation and repeatable deployment patterns
• Optimize cloud performance, reliability, and operational costs
Kubernetes & Platform Operations
• Own Kubernetes platform administration and operational excellence
• Design scalable container orchestration strategies
• Manage cluster security, upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle management
• Implement workload isolation, resource governance, and platform policies
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents and infrastructure failures
DevOps & GitOps
• Build and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines
• Implement GitOps-based deployment workflows
• Automate build, release, rollback, and deployment processes
• Enforce deployment governance and release management controls
• Maintain secure software delivery practices
Reliability Engineering
• Establish platform reliability standards and operational procedures
• Design monitoring, alerting, tracing, and observability frameworks
• Create incident response processes and operational playbooks
• Perform root cause analysis and drive long-term remediation
• Define and maintain service-level objectives and reliability targets
Security & Compliance
• Implement cloud security best practices
• Manage secrets, encryption, access controls, and identity systems
• Support audit readiness and compliance requirements
• Establish vulnerability management and security monitoring practices
• Enforce secure infrastructure and deployment standards
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
• Design backup, recovery, and failover strategies
• Conduct disaster recovery testing and validation
• Build resilient systems capable of handling infrastructure failures
• Ensure recovery objectives are defined, measurable, and tested
Collaboration & Leadership
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, QA, and Leadership teams
• Participate in architecture reviews and platform planning
• Mentor engineers on infrastructure and operational best practices
• Drive platform maturity and operational excellence initiatives
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure
• Strong experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms
• Deep Kubernetes administration experience
• Experience operating production-grade distributed systems
• Strong Linux systems administration knowledge
• Experience with Docker and containerized workloads
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Strong networking, security, and cloud architecture fundamentals
• Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability platforms
• Experience managing high-availability production systems
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

We are looking for engineers who can own and evolve an entire platform, not simply maintain deployment pipelines.
Pay: ₦1,200,000.00 - ₦2,000,000.00 per month
