Role Description The DevOps / QA Specialist will work on-site in Lagos in a full-time capacity, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to ensure reliable delivery of Versavvy’s digital solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, and implementing automation for builds, deployments, and environment management.
The role also involves designing and executing test plans, writing automated test suites, and validating system performance, reliability, and security. The specialist will troubleshoot issues across development and production environments, contribute to improving development workflows, and support best practices in configuration management, code quality, and release processes.
Qualifications
• Strong DevOps skills, including experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Quality assurance expertise in manual and automated testing, test planning, and use of test frameworks and tools.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and tooling.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Understanding of software development life cycle, version control (e.g., Git), and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with security best practices in deployment, configuration management, and cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in AI, data engineering, or working with enterprise-grade systems is an advantage.
