Role Description The DevOps Platform Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure infrastructure to support AI, data, and software products.
Day-to-day tasks include managing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, monitoring system performance, and ensuring high availability of production environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with software and data engineering teams to streamline workflows, improve reliability, and optimize resource usage across cloud and on-premise platforms. The role also involves troubleshooting platform issues, implementing best practices for security and compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement of DevOps processes and tools.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
• Candidates should possess Software Development and Programming skills to build automation scripts, tools, and integrations supporting DevOps workflows.
• Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills, including experience with cloud platforms, networking, containerization, and configuration management.
• Candidates should possess Databases skills, including managing, tuning, and securing relational and/or NoSQL data stores in production environments.
• Relevant experience with CI/CD tools, version control, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible) is beneficial.
• A strong understanding of Linux systems, security best practices, and monitoring/observability tools is beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment is essential.
