Role Description This is a full-time, on-site DevOps Platform Specialist role based in Lagos. The specialist will design, implement, and maintain scalable DevOps platforms that support AI, data, and software engineering solutions across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, monitoring system performance, and ensuring reliability and security of cloud-based environments.
The role will collaborate closely with software developers, solution architects, and data engineers to streamline deployment processes and improve development workflows. The specialist will also document platform configurations, contribute to best practices, and support incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
Qualifications
• Strong Analytical Skills to diagnose platform issues, optimize performance, and evaluate system reliability.
• Excellent Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document processes clearly.
• Hands-on Software Development experience (e.g., scripting in Python, Bash, or similar) to support automation and tooling.
• Solution Architecture skills to design scalable, secure, and maintainable DevOps and cloud platform solutions.
• Project Management abilities to plan, prioritize, and deliver platform initiatives on schedule and within scope.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and familiarity with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of security best practices, monitoring, and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Lagos and adapt to a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
