Position Summary

Powerbrid Resources Limited is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Project Manager (Civil Engineering & Construction) to oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of civil engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership capability, project management skills, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of construction projects from inception to handover.
• Develop project schedules, work plans, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, drawings, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
• Monitor project progress and prepare periodic performance reports for management.
• Manage project risks, identify potential challenges, and implement mitigation measures.
• Oversee procurement activities and ensure timely availability of project materials and equipment.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance reviews.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) requirements.
• Review and approve project documentation, technical reports, and contractor claims.
• Manage project costs and support commercial negotiations where required.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including clients, government agencies, host communities, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead project close-out activities and ensure successful project handover.

Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is an added advantage.

Professional Certifications
• Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.
• Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers is required.
• Project Management certification such as Project Management Institute PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is an advantage.

Experience Level
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and construction project management.
• At least 5 years in a senior management or project leadership role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, commercial, residential, industrial, energy, or utility construction projects.
• Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and construction methodologies.

Technical Competencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and construction management software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and Nigerian construction regulations.
• Strong budget management and project financial control skills.
