Graduate Trainee - Electrical Engineering

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, innovative, and eager-to-learn Graduate Trainee – Electrical Engineering to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of experienced engineers while developing the technical and professional skills required for a successful engineering career.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Support senior engineers in planning and executing electrical engineering projects.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical installations.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and project documentation.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and project monitoring activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in monitoring equipment performance and recommending improvements.
• Support inventory management for electrical materials, tools, and spare parts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Participate in training sessions, mentoring programs, and continuous learning initiatives.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering
• Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience (industrial training or internship experience is an advantage).
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar tools is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: ₦100,000.00 per month
