Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Trainee – Mechanical Engineering to join our engineering team. This role is designed for recent graduates who are passionate about building a career in mechanical engineering through structured training, hands-on project experience, and professional mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Support senior engineers in the planning and execution of engineering and maintenance projects.
• Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical faults and implementing effective solutions.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend process improvements.
• Participate in engineering projects from planning through execution and completion.
• Assist in preparing technical drawings, specifications, reports, and engineering documentation.
• Conduct equipment inspections and support quality assurance activities.
• Participate in site visits, equipment installations, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure engineering work complies with company standards and technical specifications.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments.
• Ensure safe use of tools, machinery, and engineering equipment.
• Promote a culture of workplace safety and continuous improvement.
• Participate actively in the company's Graduate Trainee Programme and technical training sessions.
• Learn and apply engineering principles, operational procedures, and maintenance best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on engineering assignments.
• Perform other engineering-related duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng. or B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
• 0–1 years of relevant work experience (industrial training, internship, or NYSC experience is an advantage).
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, maintenance practices, and engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar applications is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively in a team environment.
Pay: ₦100,000.00 per month
