Job Summary
Our client, a growing technology company based in Kano, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to support the development and execution of HR strategies, policies, and processes that drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, policy implementation, and HR administration. The successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of HR best practices and be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Support workforce planning and talent acquisition initiatives to meet business needs.
• Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
• Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities.
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Handle employee relations matters and provide guidance on workplace policies and procedures.
• Coordinate learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
• Monitor employee attendance, leave management, and other HR administrative functions.
• Support payroll administration by ensuring accurate employee data and documentation.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and analytics to support management decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
RequirementsEducation
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Management, or a related discipline.
• A postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management or related field will be an added advantage.
Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Human Resources, preferably within a technology, startup, or fast-paced corporate environment.
• Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
• Experience supporting organizational growth and workforce development initiatives is highly desirable.
Professional Certifications
Possession of any of the following professional certifications will be an added advantage:
• Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM)
• Associate Professional in Human Resources International (aPHRi/PHRi)
• Any other recognized HR certification

Location Requirement: Candidates must be willing to work onsite in Kano State. Candidates currently residing in Kano or willing to relocate will be preferred.
Pay: From ₦200,000.00 per month
