About Us
1ExtraGig is a new and growing digital media startup on a mission to help 9–5ers earn more through side hustles, and real opportunities. We share honest content (via newsletter, blog, and social media) that helps people make more money without burning out. Think: one extra gig, one extra paycheck.
We’re just getting started, and we’re building something fun, useful, and relatable. If you’ve been looking for a space to grow your digital marketing skills while helping build a brand from the ground up, and then earning a stipend for it, this is your shot.
What You'll Do
As our Digital Marketing Intern, you'll work closely with the Founder/CEO to bring the 1extraGig brand to life. Your responsibilities will include:
• Run social and digital ads (Meta, TikTok, Google)
• Source content ideas for our twice-weekly newsletter
• Write one blog post per week (we’ll brainstorm ideas together)
• Design basic visuals using Canva
• Use AI tools and your own voice to write fun, relatable content
• Post on social media 4 times a week (Instagram, Twitter, possibly TikTok)
• Join the founder on check-ins, brainstorms, and feedback sessions
Work Style
• We work Tuesdays to Fridays. Mondays are free
• Fully flexible. Work when you want, how you want — just deliver
• Around 3 hours/day is all you need to meet your weekly goals
Requirements
• Basic understanding of digital marketing (email, content, ads, SEO, etc.)
• Familiar with Canva and AI tools like ChatGPT
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Comfortable with social media culture and online trends
• Willingness to experiment, learn, and grow with the brand
• You MUST HAVE sent a newsletter or run ads before
