Backend Development
• Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications and services.
• Build scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support web and mobile applications.
• Develop reusable, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement business logic and integrate with third-party services and APIs.
Database Management
• Design and maintain relational and non-relational databases.
• Develop efficient database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, caching, and query tuning.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security across systems.
• Perform database migrations and maintenance activities.
System Architecture & Scalability
• Participate in software architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Design scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Develop fault-tolerant and highly available backend services.
• Implement caching solutions and performance optimization strategies.
• Ensure applications can handle increasing traffic and transaction volumes.
API Development & Integration
• Develop, document, and maintain internal and external APIs.
• Integrate with payment gateways, messaging services, cloud platforms, and third-party applications.
• Monitor API performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Maintain API versioning and backward compatibility.
Security & Compliance
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Apply security best practices including encryption, data protection, and secure coding standards.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediate security risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy regulations.
• Monitor systems for security threats and unusual activities.
Testing & Quality Assurance
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, defects, and production issues.
• Ensure high test coverage and software reliability.
• Collaborate with QA teams to improve product quality.
DevOps & Deployment
• Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance.
• Deploy and monitor applications in development, staging, and production environments.
• Work with containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
Documentation
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Document system architecture, APIs, workflows, and development processes.
• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to team members.
Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦350,000.00 per month
