Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Lead the strategy, execution, and growth of Merchant POS and Agency Banking operations.
• Drive merchant acquisition, onboarding, activation, and retention across target markets.
• Manage and expand agent networks, ensuring productivity and compliance.
• Achieve revenue, transaction volume, and market expansion targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, agents, aggregators, and enterprise partners.
• Oversee field operations and ensure effective performance management of sales teams.
• Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to improve POS and agency banking solutions.
• Identify market opportunities and develop strategies to increase adoption of digital payment solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal operational policies.
• Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to management.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in Merchant POS acquiring, Agency Banking, or related fintech/banking roles.
• Proven experience in leading merchant acquisition and agent network expansion.
• Strong background in POS systems, digital payments, and financial services ecosystems.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing field sales or business development teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience working with fintechs, commercial banks, or payment service providers such as OPay, PalmPay, Moniepoint, or similar institutions.
• Exposure to large-scale merchant onboarding and agency banking operations.
