JOB TITLE: Video Content Creator
ROLE SUMMARY
The Video Content Creator will plan, produce, and publish video-first content that educates prospective students, celebrates our community, and builds The QA School's presence across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. You will translate complex topics, career pivots, software testing, and tech industry entry into compelling short-form video that earns attention, drives engagement, and moves people to act.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and execute a consistent video content calendar across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn
• Shoot, edit, and publish short-form videos that position QA as a credible, in-demand career path
• Appear on camera, direct on-camera shoots, interviews, talking heads, testimonials, and skits
• Transform student success stories into high-retention video content
• Develop concepts, scripts, and storyboards for video series and campaigns
• Repurpose long-form content (webinars, classes, events) into short-form clips
• Monitor video performance metrics and use insights to improve content strategy
• Maintain consistent visual identity and brand tone across all video output: warm, sharp, and credible
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in video content creation for social media
• Portfolio or active page demonstrating short-form video work — ideally in education, tech, or career development
• Proficiency in mobile and/or desktop video editing tools (CapCut,Filmora,DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
• Strong understanding of short-form video formats, trends, and platform behaviour across TikTok, Reels, and LinkedIn
• Ability to script and present or direct others to present complex topics in an accessible, engaging way
• Comfortable operating a camera, managing lighting, and handling basic audio setup
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a production schedule independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in EdTech or within the Nigerian tech ecosystem
• Familiarity with QA, software development, or B2B tech services
• Experience creating content for community-driven or mission-led brands
