We’re Hiring: Backend Developer
WifiCombat Academy is seeking a talented Backend Developer to design, build, and scale the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our learning platform. This role is ideal for someone passionate about clean code, system architecture, and building high-performance applications that impact thousands of learners.
About the Role:
You will work closely with frontend developers, instructional designers, and DevOps engineers to deliver a seamless, secure, and scalable platform. You’ll be responsible for building robust backend systems that support interactive learning experiences, real-time labs, and student progress tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain RESTful / GraphQL APIs
Build and optimize database schemas (SQL and NoSQL)
Implement secure authentication systems (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC)
Develop scalable services for real-time learning and concurrent users
Integrate third-party services (payments, LMS tools, analytics)
Write unit and integration tests and maintain API documentation
Monitor system performance, logging, and debugging
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
Requirements:
3+ years of backend development experience
Strong proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript), Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), or Go
Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, plus Redis or MongoDB
Solid understanding of API design (RESTful; GraphQL is a plus)
Experience with Git and collaborative workflows
Basic cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Understanding of secure coding practices and web vulnerabilities
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with real-time technologies (WebSockets,
Socket.io
, MQTT)
Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Knowledge of LMS standards (SCORM, xAPI, LTI)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure tools
Background in cybersecurity or networking concepts
