Africa Construction Law (ACL) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Management Associate to support the planning and delivery of the organisation’s programmes, conferences, training initiatives, publications, and strategic projects.The role is responsible for coordinating projects from inception to completion, ensuring that activities are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high professional standard. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, consultants, speakers, sponsors, members, and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of ACL’s growingportfolio of activities across Africa. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and can translate plans into effective execution.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Programme Delivery• Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of ACL’s conferences, training programmes, webinars, publications, awards, and institutional initiatives.
• Develop project plans, timelines, workstreams, budgets, and implementationschedules to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate project activities and monitor progress against agreed milestones,deliverables, and objectives.
• Identify project risks, implementation challenges, and resource requirements, and recommend practical solutions.
• Ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.Conference and Event Management• Lead the operational coordination of conferences, training programmes, webinars, workshops, networking events, and other institutional activities.
• Coordinate speakers, sponsors, delegates, venues, vendors, consultants, and service providers.
• Manage event timelines, logistics, registrations, communications, and participant engagement activities.
• Support the development of event programmes, schedules, speaker management processes, and event documentation.www.africaconstructionlaw.org• Ensure a positive and professional experience for participants and stakeholders before, during, and after events.Cross-Functional Coordination• Work closely with marketing, partnerships, membership, finance, and leadership teams to ensure effective project execution.
• Facilitate communication and coordination across multiple teams, stakeholders, and jurisdictions.
• Ensure project activities remain aligned with ACL’s strategic priorities and organisational objectives.
• Support internal planning meetings and follow up on action items and deliverables.Monitoring, Reporting and Continuous Improvement• Track project performance, timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators.
• Prepare project updates, progress reports, post-event evaluations, and management reports.
• Collect feedback from participants, stakeholders, and partners to improve future programmes and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve project management systems, workflows, and operational efficiency.Stakeholder and Vendor Management• Serve as a key operational point of contact for project stakeholders, speakers, sponsors, consultants, and partners.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Monitor contractual obligations, project requirements, and agreed deliverables.
