Reports To: Human Resources Manager

Location: Ode Remo, Ogun State


Job Summary


The Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of HR policies, staff administration, recruitment processes, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labour regulations within the automobile manufacturing company. The role ensures effective workforce management and promotes a productive and professional work environment.


Key Responsibilities


Recruitment & Onboarding



• Assist in recruitment activities including job posting, screening, interviewing, and selection processes.

• Coordinate staff onboarding, documentation, and orientation programs.

• Maintain updated employee records and personnel files.



Employee Relations & Administration



• Support implementation of HR policies and procedures.

• Handle staff enquiries, disciplinary matters, and grievance procedures.

• Monitor staff attendance, leave records, and punctuality.

• Ensure proper documentation of employee disciplinary and performance records.



Performance Management & Training



• Support performance appraisal processes and employee evaluations.

• Coordinate staff training and development programs.

• Identify workforce development needs and training opportunities.



Payroll & Benefits Administration



• Assist in payroll preparation and verification.

• Administer staff benefits, allowances, and welfare programs.

• Ensure accuracy of employee data for payroll processing.



Compliance & HR Reporting



• Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and statutory regulations.

• Prepare HR reports, staff statistics, and workforce data analysis.

• Support audits and regulatory inspections involving HR documentation.



General Administrative Support



• Assist in managing office administration and staff welfare activities.

• Support company events, meetings, and internal communication initiatives.



Requirements & Qualifications



• B.Sc./HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or related discipline.

• Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in Human Resources or Administration.

• Professional HR certification CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent is an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
