Role Description
This is a full-time for one of our clients, on-site role at the project site for Human Resources Executive, minimum of 10 years in the Oil and Gas Site Project division. The role involves overseeing HR operations, developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with all employment regulations.
We’re seeking a hands-on HR Executive to manage all personnel and labor relations activities on our oil & gas project sites. You’ll ensure compliance, workforce welfare, and smooth manpower operations in a high-risk, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Site Personnel & Contractor Management:
Maintain accurate records for all staff and third-party contractors. Handle onboarding, site induction, exit, and daily attendance in line with project mobilization/demobilization plans.

Labor & Compliance
: Enforce company HR policies, DPR/NUPRC guidelines, and Nigerian labor laws including NSITF, NHF, Pension, PAYE, and ITF. Ensure all site activities meet regulatory and client HSE requirements.

Recruitment & Manpower Planning
: Coordinate hiring of technical, skilled, and unskilled labor based on approved manpower plan. Liaise with community relations for local content compliance.

Payroll, Timekeeping & Benefits
: Work with Finance and Site Admin to validate timesheets, overtime, allowances, and statutory deductions for offshore/onshore rotations.

Employee & Union Relations
: Manage grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues. Build positive relations with workers, unions, and host communities to prevent disruptions.

Training & HSE Alignment
: Identify training needs and coordinate with HSE to deliver safety induction, toolbox talks, and competency training required for oil & gas operations.

Reporting
: Prepare weekly/monthly HR reports for management and client: headcount, turnover, incident reports, training records, and manpower forecast.
Key Requirements
• 10+ years HR experience, with minimum 5 years in oil & gas, EPC, or offshore/onshore project sites preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor law, NCDMB Local Content Act, and oil & gas industry HR practices.
• Proven experience managing large, diverse, unionized workforce in remote/field conditions.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be field-ready, resilient, and comfortable working in camp/site conditions.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in HR Management and Human Resources operations
• Experience in Employee Relations and implementing HR Policies
• Strong knowledge of HR Operations processes and practices
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Prior HR experience in the Oil and Gas industry is an added advantage
• Ability to work on-site and effectively manage HR tasks in a dynamic environment
• Familiarity with local employment regulations and best practices
