About the Role The role oversees the finance company’s financial stewardship, regulatory reporting, capital management, and sustainability. Adhering to the regulatory requirements of Nigeria’s Central Bank (CBN) and other financial regulatory authorities for licensed finance institutions. Take full responsibility for the company’s overall tax compliance management, strictly abide by local tax laws, regulations and regulatory requirements, and ensure all tax-related activities are conducted in full compliance with the law.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and team management:
Have excellent executive management capabilities, team building and leadership skills, able to lead the financial team to complete various work objectives efficiently. Great cross-cultural communication and coordination capabilities, able to communicate with Nigerian regulatory authorities, external institutions and overseas group finance team.

• Treasury management:
Strong cross-departmental and external coordination capabilities, able to maintain high-quality cooperative relations with local banks and third-party channels. Efficiently resolve treasury operation-related issues.

• Taxation:
Be familiar with Nigeria’s tax laws, regulations and preferential policies, formulate and implement the company’s tax planning plan on the premise of compliance, reduce the company’s tax burden and avoid tax risks. Handling tax-related inquiries, inspections and audits initiated by local tax authorities, organize the preparation of relevant materials, and coordinate with tax authorities to resolve tax disputes and discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain good communication and cooperative relations with local tax authorities (e.g., FIRS and LIRS), timely grasp the latest tax policy trends and regulatory requirements, and obtain professional guidance on tax-related issues.

• Compliance and Stakeholder Communication:
Organize and coordinate the annual audit, ensure the smooth completion of external audit and the issuance of standard audit reports. Strengthen the construction of the company’s internal control system, standardize the reimbursement, payment and staff borrowing process. Prevent financial risks such as treasury loss and financial fraud. Maintain good communication and cooperation with external stakeholders such as banks, funding partners and regulatory authorities in Nigeria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.

• ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is mandatory.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.

• At least 4 years in the financial services industry.

• At least 2 years in a senior management-level role.
