Role Summary The Head of Business Development will be responsible for driving the firm’s growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding the firm’s market presence. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep knowledge of financial markets, strong networking skills, and the ability to develop innovative solutions for clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Business Growth s Strategy:
o Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and grow assets under management (AUM).
o Identify and pursue new market segments and partnership opportunities.
• Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional and high-net- worth clients.
o Deliver tailored investment solutions to meet client needs.
• Product Development:
o Collaborate with investment teams to design and market new financial products.
o Ensure products align with regulatory requirements and client objectives.
• Market Intelligence:
o Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
o Provide insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the business development team.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on results and client satisfaction.
Qualifications Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration,
Marketing, or related field.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in business development within asset management, investment banking, or financial services.
• Proven track record of client acquisition and revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian capital markets and SEC regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
