Job Overview

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President (VP) of Investment Banking to lead deal origination and execution, manage client relationships, and oversee the development of junior team members.
• You will sit at the centre of our transaction teams, translating strategic ideas into flawless execution for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and corporate advisory mandates.
Key Responsibilities
Originate Deals and Transactions

• With robust support from the Group Managing Director and the Board - Deal Origination in M&A, Capital Markets, and others, including advisory opportunities in the public sector.
Execute Deals and Transactions:
• Deal Execution: Lead the day-to-day execution of complex financial transactions
• Process Management: Oversee due diligence, marketing material creation, and virtual data rooms
• M&A Structuring: Guide transaction structures for corporate clients during mergers and divestitures
• Capital Markets: Coordinate debt and equity issuance activities
Manage Client Relationships:
• Client Interface: Act as the primary, daily point of contact for corporate executives and investor groups
• Deal Pitching: Pitching new business and presenting strategic ideas
• Negotiation Support: Assist clients in negotiating transaction terms, purchase agreements, and valuations
Oversee Team and Deliverables:
• Quality Control: Review financial models, valuation analyses, and pitchbooks created by Analysts and Associates
• Workflow Delegation: Assign responsibilities to members of the Investment Banking team and manage deal timelines strictly
• Junior Mentorship: Mentor, train, and conduct performance reviews for the junior Investment banking pool
Drive Revenue and Strategy:
• Idea Generation: Identify market trends, macroeconomic shifts, and industry updates to create new transaction ideas
• Business Development: generatee new client revenue for the firm
Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience

• Min of 4 years as an Investment Banking Associate, or 6–8 years of total relevant financial experience.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or other financial and business disciplines; an MBA from a top-tier business school or and relevant professional
Technical Skills:
• Advanced corporate finance knowledge, expert financial modelling (LBO, DCF, Accretion/Dilution), and deep sector-specific expertise.
• Age: 35 - 40 yrs
Certifications
• Professional certification in Finance, Accounting or Investments confers advantage
Soft Skills:
• Strong project management, high emotional intelligence for client management, and the ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
