Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Backend-Java/Go)
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Work Mode: Fully Onsite
Role Overview: Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java or Go (Golang) and modern backend technologies. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power our digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities·
Design and develop backend systems, microservices, and APIs using Java (Spring Boot) or Go.
Architect, implement, and maintain database schemas (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis).
Integrate external APIs and third-party services securely and efficiently.· Implement CI/CD, automated testing, and code review processes.·
Collaborate with DevOps to optimize deployments, monitoring, and scaling.· Participate in technical design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions.·
Ensure systems meet high standards of performance, reliability, and security.· Mentor junior developers and promote best coding practices
Requirements· 5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) or Go (Golang).
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.· Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with Git, unit testing frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Digital Ocean).· Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.· Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
Preferred· Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).· Familiarity with event-driven architectures.· Knowledge of system security, API gateway design, and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
