Senior Backend Engineer

Role Overview



• We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale our core services and APIs.

• In this role, you will take full ownership of our backend architecture, optimize database performance, and ensure our systems remain secure, fault - tolerant, and highly available.



Responsibilities



• Architecture & Scaling: Design robust, clean, and maintainable backend systems and microservices.

• API Development: Build and integrate secure, high - performance RESTful APIs.

• Database Optimization: Optimize queries, schema design, and caching strategies to handle high - traffic loads.

• Infrastructure & DevOps: Collaborate on CI / CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and server performance monitoring.

• Mentorship: Code review peer PRs and mentor mid - level engineers on best practices.

• And any other added responsibilities



Requirements



• Qualification; Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.

• Experience: 4+ years of production - level backend development experience.

• Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Laravel framework and relational / non - relational databases MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis.

• System Design: Proven track record of scaling systems, managing queues, and designing microservices.

• Tools: Experience with Docker, cloud providers AWS, DigitalOcean, or GCP, and CI / CD pipelines.

• Mindset: Problem solver who prioritizes clean code, security best practices, and performance optimization.
