HCMatrix is seeking a highly skilled Node.js Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power enterprise-grade applications. You should be comfortable working with large codebases, handling both structured and unstructured data, and collaborating closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performing backend services and APIs using Node.js
.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend logic with frontend interfaces and third-party systems.
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance through best practices, code reviews, and testing.
• Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to model, query, and manage large datasets.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Monitor, debug, and optimize application performance and reliability.
• Write automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to ensure application stability.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with backend development trends, frameworks, and tools.
Qualifications
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong focus on Node.js
.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript
.
• Solid experience with RESTful APIs and ideally GraphQL
.
• Strong understanding of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
.
• Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
Bonus Skills
• Experience with microservices architecture
.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
.
