Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dedicated security team. This role is crucial for protecting the organization's information assets from cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, developing and implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations, and staying current with the evolving threat landscape. You will work closely with IT teams and business units to embed security best practices across the organization. This role involves conducting security assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and developing security awareness training programs. Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure during critical incidents are essential. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software, for threats and vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests. Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards. Investigate and respond to security incidents, including analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions. Manage and configure security tools and technologies to enhance protection. Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and network designs. Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001). Develop and maintain incident response plans and disaster recovery strategies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security analysts. Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap for the information security program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in information security analysis, incident response, or a related security role. Strong understanding of network security, system security, cryptography, and risk management. Proficiency with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners). Experience in incident handling, digital forensics, and malware analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
