Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Harcourt for a Cyber Security Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks, implementing security protocols, and safeguarding sensitive data across various systems and networks. Day-to-day tasks include assessing application vulnerabilities, designing and executing security solutions, monitoring network activity for potential threats, and ensuring compliance with industry security standards.
Collaboration with teams and staying updated on evolving cybersecurity trends will also be key components of this role.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Cybersecurity and Information Security principles
• Strong knowledge of Network Security, including identifying and mitigating potential threats
• Experience in Application Security and securing software systems
• Ability to assess and enhance overall security protocols
• Hands-on experience with managing and deploying cybersecurity tools and technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
