Job Summary
DeliciousnessNaija Catering Services is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented General Accountant with proven experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering environment. The ideal candidate will oversee financial records, manage daily accounting operations, monitor kitchen-related costs, and ensure accurate financial reporting to support efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, invoices, receipts, and payment records
• Monitor kitchen and catering operational costs, including food cost analysis
• Track inventory-related expenses and coordinate with storekeeping/procurement teams
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Process payroll and staff-related financial records when required
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare budgets and assist management with financial planning and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards
• Conduct cost control analysis to reduce waste and improve profitability
• Work closely with kitchen management to monitor stock usage and expenses
• Support internal audits and maintain proper documentation
Requirements
• Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as an Accountant in a kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or catering business
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in food cost control, inventory accounting, and kitchen expense management
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced catering environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Honest, reliable, and highly confidential with financial information
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ATS, or equivalent) is an added advantage
Pay: ₦200,000.00 per month
