MANAGING DIRECTOR (MD)
Microfinance Bank – Igbuzo, Delta State A licensed Microfinance Bank located in Igbuzo, Delta State invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals to fill the position of Managing Director (MD).
Role Summary The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership and executive management to drive sustainable growth, ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen governance, and improve profitability while deepening financial inclusion within the host community.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic direction and overall leadership of the Bank
• Ensure full compliance with CBN Microfinance Bank Regulations and prudential guidelines
• Drive deposit mobilization, loan portfolio growth, and profitability
• Strengthen risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance
• Must ensure Profitability and overall growth in value.
• Oversee credit administration, treasury, operations, and branch performance
• Build and lead a high-performance management team
• Maintain effective relationships with regulators, shareholders, and key stakeholders
• Prepare and present statutory, financial, and performance reports to the Board
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of BSc/HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, or related field
• MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is an added advantage
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA or equivalent) is required
• Minimum of 5-10 years cognate banking experience, with at least 3 years in senior management in a Microfinance Bank or Deposit Money Bank
• Proven track record in microfinance operations, credit risk management, and deposit mobilization
• Strong understanding of CBN regulations and MFB supervision requirements
