IT Security Analyst

The IT Security Analyst is responsible for protecting organizational systems and data by continuously monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats.

Requirements
JOB DUTIES
∙ Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools.

∙ Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents

∙ Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing

∙ Review system and network logs for suspicious activities

∙ Implement and maintain security controls and best practices

∙ Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies

∙ Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Bachelor’s degree/HND in computer science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

∙ Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)

∙ Experience with Windows and Linux systems

∙ Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection tools

∙ Understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management

∙ Basic scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is an advantage

• 3 years of experience.
