Job Description
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects within budget and scope. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and delivering high-quality IT solutions on schedule. The ideal candidate has a strong background in IT, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of managing complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning and Management
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Execution and Delivery
• Oversee all phases of project life cycles, from initiation to closure.
• Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Stakeholder Communication
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
• Conduct project reviews and post-implementation assessments.
• Team Leadership
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Assign tasks and manage team members' workloads effectively.
• Risk Management and Problem-Solving
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Address project challenges and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and performance metrics.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, budgets, and outcomes.
Key Requirements
• Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Skills
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project).
• Strong understanding of IT systems, software development, and infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
• Soft Skills
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Certifications (Preferred)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
• ITIL or other relevant certifications in IT service management.
