Job Summary:
A Cybersecurity Penetration Tester at a managed cybersecurity company is a specialist in charge of simulating cyberattacks on computer systems, networks, and apps to find and resolve vulnerabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Conduct extensive penetration testing on systems, networks, and apps to identify vulnerabilities and possible security gaps.
· Working with teams of experts to evaluate and understand security assessments, providing practical suggestions for remediation.
· Stay up to date on cybersecurity developments, technologies, and procedures to guarantee testing meets industry requirements.
· Provide straightforward reports outlining penetration test results and proposed remedial strategies.
· Building good client connections, understanding security requirements, and communicating effectively throughout the testing process.
· Provide threat management, modeling, and use cases for security monitoring, including red/blue penetration testing.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Education:
· Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
· Certifications in offensive security such as CEH, OSCP, OSEP, GXPN, and GRTP.
• Experience:
· Experience with a range of hacking tools and methodologies, as well as experience with various types of attacks.
· 3-5 years of relevant expertise in information technology or cybersecurity functions.
• Languages:
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required
• Technology:
· Multiple technologies range from all well-known vendors.
• Competency
· Trustworthiness and the ability to manage private and sensitive information.
· The ability to think effectively and stay calm under pressure.
