Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and eager Junior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing cybersecurity practice in Ibadan. This is a unique junior-level role that combines hands-on technical work, education, and client-facing advisory services. You will play a key part in protecting organizations by deploying modern endpoint security solutions, building cybersecurity awareness across teams, and delivering practical security consulting to small and medium-sized businesses.
This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants broad exposure to real-world cybersecurity while developing both technical and soft skills.
Key Responsibilities
Endpoint Solution Deployment (40%)
Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise endpoint detection and response (EDR) / endpoint protection platforms (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Checkpoint, Bitdefender, Sophos, or similar).
Perform initial setup, policy creation, agent rollout, and integration with existing IT infrastructure (Active Directory, Azure, etc.).
Conduct post-deployment health checks, troubleshooting, and optimization of endpoint security controls.
Monitor endpoint telemetry and assist in investigating security alerts under senior guidance.
Cybersecurity Training & Awareness (30%)
Design and deliver engaging cybersecurity training sessions for clients and internal staff (in-person workshops, virtual webinars, and e-learning modules).
Create training materials including slide decks, quick-reference guides, phishing simulations, and awareness campaigns.
Run regular security awareness programs on topics such as phishing, password hygiene, data protection, and safe remote work practices.
Measure training effectiveness through quizzes, feedback surveys, and simulated attack metrics.
Security Consulting (30%)
Support senior consultants in performing light security assessments, gap analyses, and risk reviews for clients.
Provide practical recommendations on endpoint security best practices, policy development, and basic incident response planning.
Prepare clear reports and presentations for clients explaining findings and remediation steps in non-technical language.
Participate in client meetings and act as a trusted junior advisor on day-to-day security matters.

Required Qualifications
0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, personal projects, or help-desk/security operations count).

Passion for teaching and helping others improve their security posture.
