Job Summary
• We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide dedicated, live-in care for a 71-year-old female patient with pre-existing medical conditions, including heart failure and compromised kidney function.
• The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in geriatric care, be patient, attentive, and skilled in managing complex health conditions in a home setting.
• This role requires a professional who can balance medical expertise with empathy, ensuring the patient’s comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Care & Monitoring:
• Administer medications accurately and on schedule as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, oxygen levels, etc.) regularly
• Observe and report changes in health condition promptly
• Manage symptoms related to heart failure and kidney impairment
• Ensure proper hydration and dietary compliance based on medical advice
• Maintain detailed daily health records and reports.
Personal & Daily Care Support:
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and movement (patient is partially mobile)
• Support with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, toileting if required)
• Ensure patient comfort, including positioning and rest routines
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
Care Coordination:
• Liaise with doctors, specialists, and family members regarding patient care
• Accompany the patient to medical appointments if required
• Work collaboratively with other household staff (to be hired)
• Communicate effectively with the patient’s daughter, who resides in the home
Health & Safety:
• Maintain a clean and safe care environment
• Prevent falls and manage mobility risks
• Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally
• Ensure infection control and proper hygiene standards
Requirements
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with valid certification/licensure
• 5–8 years of nursing experience, with a strong focus on elderly/geriatric care.
Proven experience managing patients with:
• Heart failure
• Kidney-related conditions
• Experience in home care or private residence settings is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medication management and chronic illness care
• Physically and emotionally resilient
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of discretion, professionalism, and empathy.
