Job Description
Key Responsibilities

• Monitor critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, cardiac monitors)
• Assess patients’ conditions and respond promptly to changes in vital signs
• Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and life-support treatments as prescribed
• Assist physicians during procedures and emergency interventions
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for critically ill patients
• Ensure strict infection prevention and control practices
• Support and educate patients’ families regarding patient condition and care plans
• Participate in ward rounds and clinical decision-making
• Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
• Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc)
• Post-basic ICU/critical care nursing certification is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience, preferably in ICU or emergency care.
