About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives within the upstream oil and gas services sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic client relationships, and winning new business across key operators and service providers in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
This role requires a strong commercial mindset, deep industry networks, and proven experience in closing high-value contracts within the upstream oil and gas ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive revenue growth
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across upstream oil & gas operators and service providers
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including IOCs, indigenous operators, EPC contractors, refineries, petrochemical plants, and LNG facilities
• Lead end-to-end business development activities including opportunity identification, client engagement, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure
• Prepare and support commercial proposals and tender submissions
• Monitor rig activity, drilling campaigns, and market opportunities in Nigeria’s oil & gas sector
• Work closely with technical and operational teams to align service offerings with client needs
• Drive account management and ensure long-term client satisfaction and retention
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline (MBA is an advantage)
• 10–15 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles within the oil & gas services industry
• Strong experience working with upstream oil & gas operators and service companies
• Proven track record of winning contracts and generating revenue
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian oil & gas tendering and procurement process (e.g., NIPEX, IOC tenders, EPC bidding processes)
• Experience managing strategic client relationships and large accounts
• Strong commercial acumen and deal-closing ability
• Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills (MS Office proficiency required)

Pay: ₦1,000,000.00 - ₦2,000,000.00 per hour
