We Are Recruiting To Fill The
Position Below Job Title: Field Operator (Operations) – Otumara Location: Delta Job type: Full-time Start Date: 1st February 2026 Roles And Responsibilities The personnel will be responsible for the following: Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.
Report and close out Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions
Serves as permit to work signatory and administer safe system of work.
Apply the Health Safety Security and Environment policy, legislations applicable to crude oil transfer and export.
Carry out first line maintenance on pumps, motors, separators, and valves.
Adhere to plant operating procedures.
Execute daily communication and Shift handover.
Prepare equipment for maintenance interventions plant isolation etc.
Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.
Execute front line maintenance activities in the plant.
Troubleshooting of safety critical equipment and control/safeguarding system.
Supporting the maintenance team in maintaining facilities.
Assist the maintenance team to cope with high number of activities to sustain asset integrity/equipment availability.
Comply with HSE practices and procedures.
Assist to ensure Technical Integrity and safe operation of new process & utility system to achieve the facility’s objectives.
Identify any area of new facilities requiring Change Control and document the change proposal.
Review operating procedure under current reality and propose changes.
Participate in development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work packs.
Provide technical support in repairing outstanding mal-functioning equipment (e.g. crude transfer pumps etc)
Support the maintenance team in all trouble shooting exercises.
Participate in RCA (Root Cause Analysis), investigation and improvement initiatives.
Close out assigned MFI/audit actions for continuous improvements Minimum Requirements Candidates should possess a Trade Test cert/OND/HND/B.Sc in sciences/engineering with 5 – 8years work experience in field operations of oil and gas facilities.
Skill level competence in operations of integrated oil and gas processing and export facilities
Skill level competence in operations and first line maintenance of oil and gas wells
Skill level competence in operations of well artificial lift systems.
Knowledge level competence in Control Room operations of DCS/Delta-V run facilities.
Knowledge of Emergency response requirements in oil and gas operations.
Ability to read and interpret process engineering flow schemes (PEFS)
Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
Knowledge of Process and Personal safety
T_BOSIET certification Skills Prior experience in operations of any Renaissance production facilities will be an added advantage Soft Skills Onsite Hazards identification and Risk assessment capability.
Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
Computer literate (Competent user of Microsoft Office applications)
Knowledge of worksite hazard management
Ability to multitask effectively
Good Communication skills & a team player
Ability to work under pressure with resilience
