Job Title: Accountant (Fintech Experience Required)
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Salary: N200,000

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in the fintech industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting financial operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Prior experience within a fintech or digital financial services company is essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements
• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
• Reconcile bank statements, payment gateways, and digital transaction records
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies
• Handle fintech-specific transactions such as wallets, virtual accounts, and online payments
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to improve financial processes and controls
• Track and reconcile high-volume digital transactions across platforms
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–3 years accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a fintech company
• Strong understanding of digital financial systems, payment platforms, and reconciliation processes
• Knowledge of financial regulations relevant to fintech (e.g., KYC, AML, CBN guidelines)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
