We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Department at ICC SAL in Nigeria.
Work Location: Nigeria Are you a financial professional with a passion for accuracy, compliance, and driving financial integrity? If you have a strong background in financial reporting, record-keeping, and petty cash management, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will report directly to the Group Finance Manager and play a crucial part in supporting our financial processes.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, overseeing bank operations, and assisting with month-end closing procedures and audits. Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Update the general ledger, assist with month-end closing, and perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, suppliers, and clients.
• Oversee bank operations, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and check guarantees, while managing the petty cash fund.
• Support external audits and tax compliance by gathering necessary documentation and preparing supporting schedules.
• Process payroll, verify calculations, and ensure compliance with relevant tax and deduction regulations. What We're Looking For:
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or similar roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, Odoo) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Fluent English language skills (both written and verbal).
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
