Job Description
Our client, a rice milling and distribution business across Nigeria is seeking a highly experienced National Sales Manager to lead and expand rice sales operations across the country. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of the Nigerian rice market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in driving sales growth within the agricultural commodities sector.
Roles responsibilities
• Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
• Lead, mentor, and manage regional sales teams across Nigeria.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution networks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutional buyers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and brand visibility.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
Candidate requirements
:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 10 year's experience in sales management, with at least 5 years in rice or agricultural commodity sales in Nigeria.
• Proven success in developing and executing national sales strategies.
• Strong understanding of Nigeria's rice market, including distribution channels and consumer behaviour.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively across Nigeria.
