Our Client is a rapidly scaling local manufacturer specializing in high-quality, high-volume apparel production.

As the Government Relations Sales Manager, you will leverage our 10x production efficiency to secure large-scale public sector contracts.

You will be responsible for positioning our 100% Nigerian-sourced supply chain as the premier choice for government outfitting, uniforms, and industrial textiles.

Your role is to bridge the gap between national manufacturing goals and government procurement needs, driving massive growth through strategic advocacy and tender management.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure large-scale apparel procurement opportunities within federal and state ministries, agencies, and parastatals.
• Navigate the Nigerian Public Procurement Act to lead the bidding and submission process for high-volume manufacturing tenders.
• Promote the brand’s "100% Nigerian Sourced" value proposition to key stakeholders in the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with government decision-makers and regulatory bodies to influence local content adoption.
• Monitor and analyze legislative changes and trade policies that impact the local textile and manufacturing landscape.
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure that government orders meet specific quality benchmarks and delivery timelines.
• Represent the company at trade exhibitions, public sector forums, and industrial policy town halls.
• Achieve annual sales targets for government-linked accounts, contributing to the expansion of local manufacturing.
• Maintain a 100% conversion and compliance rate for all public sector bidding and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ Years of Experience in Government Relations, Public Sector Sales, or Manufacturing Procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or Law.
• Proven track record of closing multi-million naira government contracts within Nigeria.
• Deep knowledge of the Nigerian manufacturing ecosystem and public sector networking.
• Exceptional negotiation and persuasion abilities, particularly in navigating complex bureaucratic environments.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and a deep understanding of local content policies.
• Strong ability to articulate the value of high-speed, low-cost local production.
• Proficiency in managing high-stakes relationships and long-cycle sales funnels.
