Project Manager - Pipeline & Gas Infrastructure

Lagos or Abuja Nigeria THE OPPORTUNITY
Pipeline construction in West Africa requires a very specific kind of project manager - one who can hold together multidisciplinary teams, manage EPC contractors, navigate regulatory complexity, and still be the person standing on-site making sure the weld meets spec. We are looking for that person. If you have delivered major pipeline projects from mobilisation to commissioning, and done it safely, on time, and within budget, we want to speak with you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▸ Develop and execute detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets across pipeline construction lifecycle
▸ Oversee all construction activities - welding, trenching, pipe laying, pressure testing, commissioning
▸ Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site teams; enforce quality and technical specification compliance
▸ Lead HSE culture on-site: risk assessments, incident investigation, mitigation enforcement
▸ Manage client and government stakeholder relationships; report to senior management on project status
▸ Control project costs, cash flow, change orders, and financial reporting
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience: 8–15 years in pipeline or oil & gas construction; proven delivery of large-scale pipeline projects
EPC Knowledge: Direct experience in EPC project execution and contract management
Education: Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, or related); Master's an advantage
Certifications: PMP required; NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification; relevant engineering body membership
Competencies: Site leadership, HSE expertise, cost control, regulatory navigation, contractor management
