Job Title: Head, Corporate Banking | Financial Institution

Location: Onitsha, Anambra State

Job Summary

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a dynamic Head, Corporate & Commercial Banking to drive business growth and manage key client relationships within the South-East region.
This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the corporate and commercial client base, increase revenue, and strengthen the institution’s market presence, particularly within key trading and business hubs like Onitsha.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive growth across corporate and commercial banking segments

• Develop and implement strategies to increase deposits, loans, and overall portfolio performance

• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and commercial clients

• Identify and onboard new clients across key sectors (trading, manufacturing, FMCG, etc.)

• Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers to achieve business targets

• Oversee credit structuring, risk assessment, and portfolio quality

• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions

• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored financial solutions

Requirements

• Minimum of 10–12 years’ experience in Corporate, Commercial, or Business Banking

• At least 3–5 years in a leadership role

• Strong business development and portfolio management experience

• Good understanding of the South-East commercial market, especially Onitsha

• Proven ability to drive revenue and manage high-value clients

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (MBA is an added advantage)
