Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Officer to oversee key financial operations and ensure strong financial management within a growing financial services organization.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with strong experience across financial reporting, accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis. This role requires someone who can manage multiple finance functions while providing accurate financial insights to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Manage financial accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing
• Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions
• Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews
• Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities
• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable
• Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making
• Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations
Requirements
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles
• Experience within financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated financial institutions is an advantage
Certifications & Technical Skills
• ICAN (ACA) or ACCA qualification is required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
• Experience using accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools
• Good understanding of IFRS standards, tax compliance, and financial reporting frameworks
