Job Description
Our client, a dedicated non-profit organization focused on improving public health outcomes, is seeking an experienced Senior Community Health Nurse Educator for their **Benin City, Edo, NG** operations. This vital role involves developing and delivering health education programs, providing direct nursing care, and engaging with community members to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for community service, excellent clinical skills, and a proven ability to educate diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive community-based health education programs addressing prevalent health issues. Provide direct nursing care, including health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and basic medical treatment. Conduct health workshops, seminars, and one-on-one counseling sessions for individuals and groups within the community. Identify community health needs and advocate for resources and interventions to address them. Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local health facilities, and other stakeholders. Educate community members on preventive healthcare practices, chronic disease management, and maternal and child health. Collect and analyze health data to monitor program effectiveness and identify emerging health trends. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, program activities, and health outcomes. Supervise and mentor community health workers and junior nursing staff. Stay up-to-date with current public health initiatives, medical advancements, and best practices in health education. Participate in outreach events and health fairs to increase community awareness and engagement. Manage and maintain essential medical supplies and equipment for outreach activities. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution. A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nigeria. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in community health nursing, public health, or a related field. Experience in developing and delivering health education curriculum and materials. Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse cultural groups. Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in supervising staff. Proficiency in health data collection and analysis. Knowledge of public health principles and disease prevention strategies. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a community setting. Willingness to travel within the community and work flexible hours as needed. Certification in Public Health Nursing or Community Health Nursing is a plus.
