T Project Manager — Job Description

Role summary An IT Project Manager plans, coordinates, and delivers technology projects on time, within scope and budget. The role manages stakeholders, builds project plans, drives delivery through teams/vendors, and ensures quality, risk management, and change control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure).

• Build and maintain project plans: scope, timeline, milestones, resourcing, and dependencies.

• Define and manage project requirements, scope, and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, infrastructure, security, QA, operations) and vendors.

• Manage budgets and forecasts; track costs and ensure financial control.

• Drive project governance: status reporting, steering updates, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).

• Manage risks, issues, and change requests; maintain change control and document impacts.

• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards (test coordination, acceptance, sign-offs).

• Oversee procurement/vendor activities as needed (contracts, SOW tracking, delivery assurance).

• Ensure documentation is maintained (project charters, plans, meeting notes, handover materials).

• Facilitate communication and stakeholder management; resolve escalations.

• Support rollout activities: training coordination, cutover planning, and hypercare (as applicable).

• Maintain alignment with IT/enterprise standards (security, architecture reviews, compliance).

Required qualifications

• 5–10+ years managing IT projects (software, infrastructure, ERP, cybersecurity, or related).

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall; hybrid approaches common).

• Experience with planning and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet).

• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and deliver outcomes under constraints.

• Strong risk, schedule, and budget management skills.

• Familiarity with SDLC and delivery practices (requirements, testing, releases).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• ITIL/ITSM knowledge and experience with change management (where applicable).

• PM certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CSM or equivalent).

• Experience delivering enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, data platforms, cloud migrations).

• Background knowledge of security/compliance requirements for IT projects.

• Experience managing technical resources and vendors in regulated environments.

Skills and competencies

• Structured planning and ability to keep delivery moving (strong execution).

• Clear stakeholder communication and expectation management.

• Analytical thinking for tradeoffs (scope/time/cost) and prioritization.

• Calm leadership during escalations and schedule pressure.

• Documented discipline around scope, changes, and approvals.
