Role Description The Oil and Gas Engineering and Project Management Professional role at AISL is an on-site position based in Nigeria. The professional will plan, coordinate, and execute engineering and integrity assessment projects for oil, gas, and energy facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Day-to-day tasks include supervising nondestructive testing activities, reviewing technical data and inspection reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop remedial actions or maintenance plans. The role involves preparing project proposals and schedules, monitoring progress, managing resources, and maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders. The professional will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support HSE compliance, and provide technical guidance to junior staff and field technicians.
Qualifications
• Engineering and project management expertise, including experience in oil, gas, or energy facility integrity assessment and project coordination.
• Technical knowledge of nondestructive testing methods (e.g., radiography, ultrasonic testing, Phased/TOFD array, guided wave) and plant inspection practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting inspection data, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, clients, and field personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Materials, or related Engineering discipline.
• Professional certifications in NDT, inspection, or project management (e.g., ASNT, API, PMP) are an advantage.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices and familiarity with applicable industry regulations and codes.
